Okay, here's a thought. To not believe in fanon you do not believe in fanfiction. Scene 1; two people kiss on the show. You write a fanfiction in which they kiss - this time with tongue. This has never happened on the show, ergo it is fanon, NOT canon. Still you call it canon because these two are in a relatioship in the show. So, naturally, they must be making out, we just don't see it.

Scene two; two characters, who are best friends, hug on the show. You write a fanfic in which they kiss and eventually end up in a relationship. This is fanon and you don't claim for it to be canon, though theoretically it could be.

Why are the two situations so different?

Scene 3; two characters are in a relationship on the show. You write a fanfiction in which they break up and on of the guy ends up in another relationship - a gay one just to spice things up a little. This doesn't happen on the show, so naturally it is fanon. This, however, it both wrong and impossible. This would never happen on the show. Because, just like in real life, when you're in a relationship you never leave it again, and no married people live a lie, claiming they are heterosexual. Pfft, bull.

I wonder if people would still claim that it was not canon if scene 3 happened on some show. Early seasons of Buffy; Angel and Buffy hook up. Fanfiction says; Buffy and Angel break up, Buffy gets together with Spike. Flamers say, fuck off, this'll never happen! It's a lie! Later seasons of Buffy; Buffy and Angel break up, Buffy gets together with Spike. Will the flamers still say it's a lie, I wonder?

And just to show how hypocritical some people are, scene 4; two characters kiss on the show. You write a fanfiction about it. This is canon, you say; sure, it happened on the show, but how would you know what they were thinking while doing it? Let's just face it; fanfiction is fiction by fans. Fanfiction is fanon. Everything we, who are not, in fact, the creators of the show, write down does not exist in the canon universe. No matter how believable we make it.

Sometimes I really, really wish I had the ability to read other people's minds, but I know that if I had it, I would wish I didn't.
Still, it would be nice to be able to selectively read someones minds. I hate not knowing what other people think, because, and god, is this a curse, I care way too much about that.

Another ability worth having is the ability to project whatever feeling to someone else. It would be so easy if people just *knew* what you wanted them to know, instead of having to tell them, because let's face it - I'll never be able to actually open up, will I?

The ability to know what to say in every situation would be nice too. Never saying something wrong would spare me from so much pain.

Although I consider myself strictly heterosexual (boys are my dish of choice ;b ) I fully support gay marriage, gay relationships und so weiter. Gay people are no different than straight people except for the obvious fact that they like their own gender. So being straight is fine, even if this straight person likes to sleep around with *every single hot body in the house*, while being gay and having a steady relationship is looked down upon.
- Accept the world around you instead of being a hypocrite! Stop prejudice!

Hm, maybe I should explain why I hate it as much as I do. *It seems way too rushed and unbelievable*! Even if they do the "have loved each other for-like-ever" (which seems highly, highly unlikely all things taken into consideration) it will seem unbelievable. It seems like they'll just want to hook Ryan up with *whoever girl's left* just because he should have someone too. Which is not fine!

- They seem wrong for each other for one. They have known each other for what, a week? I don't think Ryan hangs out with the "braniacs". He's drama-only, at least because Sharpay tells him to. The main reason though, that I think they're wrong together is that IT'S THE EASY WAY OUT. PLEASE don't take the easiest way out, Disney! He seriously deserves so much more than that with all the attention he has gotten in HSM2! "Now we're going to make Ryan go from Sharpay's poodle to his own person and really take this character and pay attention to him!" "But what about love?" "Eh. Just put him together with whoever."

- At least let get over his crush on Gabriella then!! You let the boy develop a crush on the golden boy's girlfriend, then hook him up with whoever! No! NO! That's just not good enough.

- I may be a Ryan/Kelsi shipper sure, but that's just in my head. I highly doubt Disney will break a happy *minor* couple up just to bring Ry and Kels together. Being that Kelsi is a minor character it's unlikely that they'll want to deal with after-breakup angst for her and Jason. (I can still hope of course, but as I said, it's (as of yet ;) ) in my head only).

- At least then let him be gay, which he has, I supposed, already been somewhat set up to be (the clothes, the drama, the *handgestures*). I would hate for him to be openly gay in HMS3 (I'm weird that way. I love slash except when the character is, on the show/movie/whatever, implied gay.), but, even more so, I would hate for him to just be hooked up with the only available female role! For Gods sake then let him be single!

- Maybe I'm taking this thought really far, maybe it was just because she was the one female left in the gang and he needed a dance partner, because Shar was taken by Zeke and she needed one because, well Zeke was taken by Shar. Maybe what we're looking at isn't implied romance at all, but I just felt like ranting a bit. It always helps when I'm pissed about something. I'm mean, I'm totally over James being implied gay now!


Did I mention that Lucas Grabeel is the epitome of hotness? He looks absolutely amazing in hats.

- It's apparently easy to forget, so let me refresh peoples mind here: <b>the main theme of this movie is to break out of whatever stereotype you fit into</b>. Troy is a jock So is Chad, Zeke and Jason. Gabriella is a brainiac. So is Martha and Taylor. Sharpay is a spoiled diva. So is Ryan to an extent when he's not her puppy to kick around or, y'know, gay.
Except he's, y'know, not. Seeing as this movie is all about not "sticking to the status quo".
Troy is a jock, but he's also a singer/actor/dancer/gay. Chad is a jock, but, after persuasion, also break stereotypes and shows that he has some talent in dancing. Zeke is a jock, but he loves to bake. Jason is a jock, but, unlike the stereotypical jock, totally clueless and, eh, stupid (not too fond of him, I ain't. :b ). He also chose, like Troy and Chad, to date someone who's in fact not the girl jock are usually seen with (think Sharpets, damn I love this name for them!). Gabriella is a brainiac, but loves singing. Martha is a brainiac, but loves hiphop. Taylor is a brainiac, but... dates Chad (does she really ever break the stereotype?). Sharpay is a spoiled diva, except when around the baking jock, Zeke, and in the end she is totally, magically humanized (a little too magical and unbelievable maybe, but it happens). She breaks Troy and Gabriella up because she wants the role or because she's in love with Troy. (for the sake of following a pattern, I'd say the latter.) Ryan is constantly in the shadow of her sister, her slave to kick around, but end up standing up for himself and thereby breaking the stereotype!

He is also the stereotypical, flaming gay guy, in pink clothing (though, pink seriously is the new black. I don't think half of the guys in my class is gay. But who knows.), fancy hats, into dancing and acting and, eh, then there's the baseball game. Now according to my prior research this means he's straight. Because this movie is all about breaking out of the stereotype!
- Besides I don't doubt a second that if he was born into another family with a slightly nicer sister and parents who were actually there in body *and* soul, he'd be wearing Lucas-clothes.
So my quick conclusion, since it's not 01:19 in the middle of the night, is... that Ry's not gay. Arguments up there.

I know, I'm a child! I've recently started watching Pokémon again. I'm not sure why or what started it, but I did. So many new discussions out there for me to laugh about too; best of all is James Is Gay. My belief? He's not ;)

[edit#2]: It's also funny how they keep saying that rocketshippers has only one thing to "hold onto for dear life" when the only (unproven) argument the anti-guys seem to use is that Jimmy-boy is gay. But really, considering that the only proof there would be of James being gay is him hitting on another guy, there is no proof. There is actually only proof of the opposite (him calling another girl cute can be interpreted otherwise, but there's no way "Pokémon Chronicles: We're No Angels" can. Remember Rose / Cate? Her name was Rose (had the translators not changed her name) because she was the perfect woman for James. Then again, he might've wanted to stay with her, but he wouldn't have done it without the team. This proves nothing but the fact that James isn't gay (which is what I've been trying to prove, I guess.)

'Sides I blame everything on Eric Stuart. If it wasn't for his squeaky portrayal of James, people wouldn't have thought of him as gay. Have anyone *heard* that incredible Japanese baritone? God, if there's anything not gay, that is it.

It's a wonder that there aren't more fans of Rin from FFX / FFX-2 around. He's blond, muscular, tanned skin, clothes which doesn't hide much, rich, unselfish (uses his funds to help rebuild Home), charming, has an adorably hot accent and, omg, wears a choker. I dig him! ;)

German down, a pretty good grade, actually. Better than I'd expected. Next up is classical studies. Wonder how that'll go. In the middle of re-reading Oedipus. Denial, denial, denial. It hit me yesterday: really, Homer, Sofokles, Vergil... they're just y'know, writing fanfics. About gods and heroes. Long epic fanfics, but fanfics no less. That's pretty cool!

I bring story. It actually took me practically no time to write this. It just sort of happened. Also I feel slightly weird, because I consider myself an Aurikku fan, but... well, let's face it, Rin is absolutely HOT. <3 And he's Al Bhed. I needed someone who could understand her feelings.

I have bought FFX, I want to buy FFX-2, and I've bought a game called Shadow Hearts, that my friend's boyfriend has recommended.
Also, OMG! Linkin Park's new CD, Minutes to Midnight is hooot <3. I LOVE LINKIN PARK - just thought I'd make that clear. They are absolutely brilliant. And, omg, Mike actually sings on it. That is so cool.

Whew, no more school this year. I have three exams this year, religion, classical civilization and German, and four written annual exams, math (<3), Danish, English and music (<3), of which I have already taken math.

When I got to Macalania Lake, after Via Purifico, I reliazed I had missed an Al Bhed primer, no. XXII, so now I have to play all the way from the Evrae fight. Damn. On another note, Rin is absolutely hot.

Today my DVD-drive decided to tell me that I could, in fact, not change region anymore. Not a shock, knew it would happen, but it does not piss me any less off. I tried to look it up on google and it just told me that 'hello-you-can-change-your-region-a-limited-number-of-times-have-a-nice-day' to which I go 'oh, okay, yeah, great, alright, I know, why?' to which the internet repeated its previuos sentence to which I go 'er, yeah, you said so, but WHY not and WHO says so' to which it goes 'nah-nah-ahaha' to which I go 'OMGWTF, die!"

I am absolutely infuriated by this. My God, this rule-thing-WFTever seems really really really etc. etc. stupid to me. I mean, really! I somewhat, a little bit, maybe, not really get the region thing-WFTever and yet not, but this... When I've paid for my DVDs and for my DVD-player I want to have unlimited access to it goddammit! If people *insist* on having different regions on then WTF is going on with the 'you-can't-change-this-more-than-liek-10-times-alright-liek?!11?'. Are there really that few people who watch more than one region regularly?

Woa, it's been a while since I've been *this* pissed off by something. Next thing you know it won't just be the player, but after a certain !secret! amount of times the disc will simply self-destruct into a thousand tiny pieces and there's nothing you can do. It's times like these when I really hate people who make up stupid rules. I mean, really. Money will eventually ruin this world.

You can't watch DVDs from another country just because you live in your own? Really, do they want you to travel to another country just to watch a film? Or what? Almost makes me want to go back to vhs.
